28. The Importance of Understanding…

“Many believe that our Seal grants us flight.
It does not.
Long before our ancestors ever found it, the Still Wind already danced across the heavens. The Seal simply listens better than we do. Its harmony reaches farther than any Aerian voice and that, when we stand before it, the wind becomes clearer. Its song easier to hear and its path easier to follow.
Every child who learns the Still Wind makes the same pilgrimage. Not to receive power, but to understand it.
Because the Seal teaches patience. It reminds us that the sky is never ours to command… only ours to share.
That is why our sky ships return here before every great voyage… To remind ourselves that no captain ever flies alone. Every journey is carried by the same wind that carried those before us. And that will carry those that come after.
There will come a day where you return with children of your own… You stand where I stand now… You will tell them these same stories. And that is how our people endured. Through the trust we give each other…
